Nº 02 · Why here

Four things you can count on.

01Pharmacist-administered
Every vaccine is given by an accredited pharmacist under NSW Health authority — the same training and protocols you’d expect at a clinic, without the wait.
02Most without appointment
For seasonal flu, shingles, or routine boosters, you can walk in. For travel schedules or multiple doses we’ll book you properly.
03Private consult room
No handled-at-the-counter awkwardness. Assessment, consent, and administration happen behind a closed door.
04Records lodged to AIR
Every dose is entered into the Australian Immunisation Register and printed for your records, so your GP and Medicare stay in sync.

Nº 04 · On the day

What to expect.

01

Quick intake

We review your immunisation history, current medicines, and any allergies or conditions that affect vaccine choice. Most of this is already on file if you’ve been with us before.

02

Administration

Sterile technique, same-day lot traceability, and a comfortable seat. The injection itself takes seconds.

03

Fifteen-minute watch

We ask you to stay in the pharmacy for fifteen minutes afterwards — standard safety observation. Use it to sit with a cup of tea and check your phone.

04

Record and reminder

Your dose is lodged to AIR before you leave. If there’s a booster due later, we’ll send a reminder around the right date.

Nº 05 · Funding

Free or private.

Many vaccines are fully funded under the National Immunisation Program. The rest are private — we’ll always walk through cost before we administer.

I · Government-funded (NIP)

Free for eligible groups.

  • Annual flu — 65+, First Nations 50+, pregnancy, chronic conditions
  • Shingrix — ages 65+ and eligible immunocompromised
  • COVID-19 boosters — current eligibility
  • Childhood schedule — NIP-funded through age 18
  • dTpa in pregnancy — free third-trimester dose

II · Private

Priced on the day.

Vaccines outside the NIP — travel schedules, occupational doses, and private flu — are charged at cost plus a small administration fee. We’ll confirm the total with you before anything is drawn up.

Call ahead for a per-vaccine quote, especially for travel consultations where schedules may need to be sourced in advance.

Nº 07 · Common questions

Asked often.

  • For most routine vaccines — flu, shingles, whooping cough, MMR — no. Walk in any time we’re open. For travel schedules, multiple vaccines in one visit, or children, it’s best to book so we can set aside enough time.
  • The appointment itself is about ten minutes. You’ll be asked to stay another fifteen for observation, which is standard practice after any vaccine. Plan on half an hour from door to door.
  • Most people experience mild soreness at the injection site, occasional fatigue, or a low-grade fever in the first twenty-four hours. Serious reactions are extremely rare. We’ll discuss what to expect at your visit and what warrants a call back to us.
  • Yes, in most cases — typically one in each arm. We’ll advise based on your circumstances and the schedules involved.
  • Tell us at intake. There are a small number of vaccines that interact with certain conditions or immunosuppressive medicines — we’ll work through eligibility together and refer to your GP if needed.
